Brown University Alpert Medical School, Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)

University of Notre Dame, Bachelor of Arts (B.A)

Dr. Nissen started his concierge clinic after seeing patients and families disillusioned with the behavioral healthcare model commonly available: short, infrequent, med-focused visits with minimal impact. Nissen Clinic was created to provide personalized, comprehensive treatment to create real change.

He specializes in non-stimulant management of ADHD (e.g., non-stimulant medications, supplement and dietary changes, executive functioning skills) as well as root-cause anxiety treatments (e.g., exposure and cognitive therapies, medications and lifestyle changes).

Our approach

We are an outcome-driven, evidence-based clinic offering direct access to your doctor. Our 360° comprehensive care starts with therapy and is supplemented by medical intervention and coaching.

We believe true progress comes from intensive self work. Our concierge practice makes it possible.

Specialty Areas

Non-stimulant ADHD management

Stimulants for ADHD are among the most effective treatments in psychiatry. However, many patients desire alternative or complementary approaches due to negative side effects or unresolved symptoms. Nissen Clinic works with each patient to evaluate their situation and create a tailored plan that includes technologies, medications, lifestyle changes, and executive functioning skills to put ADHD into remission.

Anxiety disorders

We help patients with anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviors, phobias, and insomnia. Dr. Nissen practices evidence-based therapies (e.g., exposure and response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, CBT, and CBT-I) and prescribes medications, when needed, to help patients create real change.

Dr. Nissen has expertise in psychedelics and interventional psychiatry, such as ketamine, Spravato, MDMA, psilocybin, and TMS. If appropriate, he can work with clients who have questions about these novel treatments.
